CLEP examinations cover material taught in the first two years of college. The following colleges grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams:
I advise people who attend any college to find out if their school accepts the CLEP exams so they can “test out” of many courses. This takes some pressure off the student who can now carry a smaller course load each semester, or finish months or even a year or two early. This is a big money saver as well. The cost of a CLEP exam is about $55.00 and you can earn 3-6 credits from one exam. This means that your cost is about $8-$15.00 a credit when you test out. Compare this to your tuition fees. CLEP exams are administered at approximately 1,300 test centers located on college campuses across the United States and around the world.
